A good friend has just changed schools and is having difficulty fitting in and needs your advice. Write a letter to your friend.

Dear Leena, Hope you are doing well. I heard that you have changed schools and having a difficult time fitting in. I would like to give you some advice on how to make new friends. The first best thing to do is to figure out your interest in extracurricular activities and join clubs and societies in your school.
This
would help you associate with people having similar interests and allow room for new conversations and friendships.
Furthermore
, be open to joining study groups with your classmates.
This
would help you improve your knowledge,
as well as
communication skills.
Subsequently
, don't be afraid to express your opinion on any topic. As
this
would allow you to understand your classmates and connect with them.
In addition
, volunteer in any projects that require your support.
This
allows you to stand out and provide special recognition in your school. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks and regards, Dhinushika.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
