Write a letter to your friend to get back your coat.
I am already vastly missing you even though it has been only a few days since we met. Well, I am writing
this
letter to tell you about my winter coat which I left at your place.
After coming back home, I realized that my jacket is missing. Therefore
, I checked my car twice and my home as well but no luck! Then
, I suddenly remember about
the place where I might have left it. So, I am certain that it is in a cupboard, located in your room. I left home right after talking with you and forget to go upstairs and grab it.
It would be a great help if you could bring that Change preposition
apply
at
my place as I have all my credit cards and licence in the left pocket of the jacket.
As your university is nearby my house, you can give it back to me at your convenience or else I can pick Change preposition
to
up
from the university. Please let me know. I will be waiting for you and my coat!Correct pronoun usage
it up

The Greeting
Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.
Always start an informal letter in the ways:
- Dear + name
- Hi / Hello + name
‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.
For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:
- Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
- Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
