It is more important to keep your friends than to make new friends. Do you agree or disagree?

There is no shortage of opinions on whether to keep old
friends
or make new
friends
. Some
people
claim that keeping old pals is more essential to gaining new
friends
,
while
others argue the opposite. As far as I am concerned, I believe that
people
should keep their childhood
friends
rather than make new
friends
. I feel
this
way for a number of reasons, which I am going to illustrate in the following essay.
To begin
with, all
people
know that gaining new
friends
and having trust in them take
time
,
on the other hand
keeping childhood
friends
saves
time
.
People
should contribute their
time
until they become
friends
.
For example
, they should go for a coffee, and talk to each other. Sometimes
people
will not become good
friends
, even though they spend more
time
together. Some
people
will not trust easily
people
. If
people
keep their old
friends
, they will not consume
time
to gain the trust of one another.
This
is because they already passed
this
stage. As result,
people
save
time
, as long as they save their old
friends
.
Next,
with old
friends
people
have more memories to talk with. Humans need to socialize and they mostly share their feelings with their
friends
and create memories together. Sometimes
friends
take trips together and go hiking
thus
, all these activities stay in their minds forever. My personal experience is a compelling example of
this
. When I was a third-year student, I and two of my
friends
had a picnic, we went to the mountain in search of mushrooms.
Although
we did not find mushrooms, we had a great
time
together.
For instance
, we cooked a meal there, climbed the mountain, and played volleyball. Whenever I meet with these
friends
, I always talk about
this
picnic. If I make a new friend, I will have hardly common topics to talk about. In a nutshell, I believe that holding an old friendship is priceless.
This
is because keeping
friends
saves
time
, and because
people
have more interesting memories to talk with their old
friends
.
