Social media is very popular nowadays. In fact, it brought advantage to our lives. It connects people all over the world wherever you are. On the other hand, it has disadvantage too. First, Let us look for the advantages. Facebook connects us from our relatives and friends wherever they are. We can reach them anytime and enjoy chatting. We are tend to be updated with their new everyday activities which they are posting in their Facebook. Through social media, we can now easily find a job. Employers and job applicants easily get connected through conducting online interviews. In this scenario, it is easily for both side to manage time and convinient for them. Every persons can share their opinions in social media by posting. So basically, social media helps people to stay connected and updated. However, social media has disadvantage too. For instance, people become less socialites because they are focusing on the screen of their gadgets. In Facebook or twitter, people are becoming irresponsible with their opinions and cyber bullying arises. Social media users become careless with sharing private and sensitive information of their lives. In this situation, thieves have a chance of getting their information and use against them. I believe that proper use of social media gives us advantages more if we are responsible of our actions.

Assignment 1 It is thought by some that the most favourable way to increase the safety of road users is by reducing the maximum speed limits on vehicles, others however, believe that there are other ways to increase the safety of road users. In my opinion,I consider that social awareness on driving a good vehicle is the best way to increase the safety of the road users. On the one hand, some people have suggested that reducing the maximum speed limits on vehicles will increase the safety of road users. This will be done by insisting that all drivers or car owners install the speed limit device or application in their cars to control the speed of the drivers. For example, if a driver is speeding above the required speed limit, the engine of the car will go off on speed thereby making the driver to start the car all over again. On the other hand, others are of the opinion that social awareness and enlightenment of the public will increase the safety of the road users and I agree. Firstly, if the government teaches the citizens on the importance of car servicing and usage of good tyres, there will be a reduction in the accidents that occur daily on the road. This is because knowledge they say is power. More so, when people are aware of the implications of driving a faulty car, accidents on the road will be reduced to the barest minimum. For instance, the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ikeja branch did a survey in 2018 on the causes of accidents on the roads and it was observed that expired tyres on the roads are the major factor. In conclusion, while people may vary in their opinion, I believe that social awareness and enlightenment of the public will increase the safety of the road users.

People today know the minority of their neighbours than in the past. Why is this? What can be done to solve this problem? Above all, being busy is the main reason. It’s commonly known that neighbours have less visitors than over the past decades. I personally believe that scientific jobs have affected on peoples’ connection. I strongly believe that humans are touched by science and technology in advance; these things have made them to keep away. First of all, people, nowadays, are more showing their interest to learn, educate, invent and more, significantly, being academic and scientists have become the norm. It, however, social states think deeply to care of their neighbours, but communication is still the main concern with friends, whom live nearby them. Secondly, law and constitution have been followed by residents to not harm any people, such as, linguistically, orally or behave badly. Moreover, actions and reactions are considered by a government, accordingly. Thus, residents would more think that it’s not their responsibility to have strong communication with their neighbours, it’s a government’s task to take care of them. Thirds of all, most neighbors might be aged people, and aged people may face diseases or health problems; this can be one of the main reasons to slow the communications. Forth of all, younger people have more connection, they go partying, celebrations, have fun time together; while the elders are not interested, because of their disabilities. To conclude, a communication relates to the age of people as well as technology users. As much as we are younger as much communicating skill is meaningful. On the other hand, people are more using technology links to communicate, literally.
