In Eighteenth century, rich men were judged by the size of their family. But recently, the size of family has little or no effect on financial status of one. Both type of families has its own merit and demerit. Considering the economic and financial situation of today, we would say a small family helps in proper planning as well as budgeting. Also, utmost care and attention can be given to the children. For example a family of four, the children will be provided with the best level of education that can be affordable by the parent, expenses on the children will be minimal compared to that of a larger family, the children can also have access to their parent without being scared of what the others may feel. However, the negative part to having a small family is that the kids mostly tend to live the dream of their parent. As such, emotional blackmail from the parent do set in and these affect the child a lot. Another factor is the phycological effect these types of family could have on the child. Most of these kids turn out to be an introvert, they enjoy their space and find it rather too hard to adjust when they are outside their comfort zone. In conclusion, in as much as economic and financial factors are our major concern, the children well-being should be our utmost concern.

There exist contrasting views about supervisors seeking some data, while employing new workers, about their likes and dislikes or their marital status that whether it is relevant or irrelevant to inquire about this information. There exist strong arguments in support of both sides of this debate, which implies it is worth examining both points of view before reaching any conclusion. To commence with, it is vital to collect the necessary data about the fresh entrants in any organisation because it would give an idea about providing incentives to particular worker to boost the morale. Precisely, the management would be able to decide that whether reward should be monetary or non-monetary. To illustrate, a strong economy of Japan is evident because of contented workers due to the perfect recognition methodology adopted by the industrialists. It is, therefore, imperative to gather the requisite data to utilise it at a correct time. On the contrary, every human has a different psychological pattern, and some employees may consider this as a wrong practice. As they would be creating a false and negative image about the company at a very initial stage, it would affect their output level deleteriously. A recent research in Europe, for example, proved that a colossal number of young working professionals did not perform well in beginning of their job because they were not pleased with the questions being asked during their interview. Hence, the reason of asking questions should be mentioned on company’s website to avoid any conflicts. In conclusion, it can be reiterated that whereas demanding some information about their families from a fresh entrant could be proved advantageous for rewarding them, it might lead to a negative approach about the company. However, it would be a smart move, in my perspective, for strengthening the bond between factory and its workers.

The contentious argument that whether organizations can solicit personal information from job seekers in an employment application has sparked a heated debate among many. In this essay, I will illustrate the merits and demerits of such practice by employers and then provide my own opinion. On the one hand, there are benefits to organizations in acquiring information about a prospective employee, including his hobbies, marital status, et cetera. The primary advantage is that the multinational corporations can gauge whether an applicant is a best-fit or not for a vacancy by asking for his or her personal data. For instance, a position that requires travelling frequently to various metropolitan cities in the world will not be a good-fit for married people because of their marital commitment. In addition, an organization can increase its employee retention rate by enquiring about a potential hire’s hobbies and interests. For example, a financial analyst who is fond of latest gadgets would be excited to work for a high tech corporation rather than another applicant who despises an advanced device. On the other hand, there are some cons in employers seeking personal information from job applicants. First of all, an organization may inadvertently drive away the best qualified candidate who has privacy concerns by asking for one’s hobbies, interests, marital status, et cetera. Moreover, some employers may resort to discriminatory practices by selecting potential hires based on their personal preferences. For instance, an interviewer who despises a game of cricket may overlook an applicant whose passion is to play with a bat and ball. Having considered a range of arguments, I firmly believe that the merits of an organization seeking personal information from job candidates outweigh the drawbacks; employers can match applicants to the vacancies and increase employee retention rates.
Time is changing and so are the favourite pastimes of youngsters. Nowadays, many adults can be seen spending time doing shopping. The ever changing fashion trends and the desire to show off in front of friends are the main causes of this change. In my opinion, this is a negative development because of the wastage of money, time and energy. Every day a new fashion trend or a new gadget is introduced in the market. The young adults want to update their wardrobe according to the latest market trends. For example, whenever a new movie is launched, girls try to imitate the style of the actress by buying clothes similar to what she wore in the movie. Moreover, many times adults want to show-off their status in front of their friends. They want to splurge money in order to do this. That is why we see many youngsters with large friend circles hopping from shop to shop and spending money. This is a negative development because of the wastage of money. The youngsters spend their hard-earned money on unimportant things. They buy all the stuff which are useless and collect all the junk in their closets. Furthermore, it is a wastage of precious time and energy. The time which could be spent in a more productive way is spent on buying things which are not needed. Instead, they can join gymnastics or aerobics to have a healthy mind and body. Thus it is evident that mindless shopping / excessive shopping is a waste of money, time and energy. To conclude, more and more youngsters now spend their time shopping because they want to follow the latest fashion trends and to impress their friends. However, it is a negative development as it is a complete waste of time, energy and more importantly money
Nowadays, people often thought that it is of great value to have a nuclear family instead of having an extended family. Raising up a small family is beneficial owing to the reduction of chaos and misunderstanding in the family , and it lowers the amount of money spent on tuition fees but there are drawbacks to be taken into account. One major benefit of having a smaller family is that there will be few times when the family will experience misunderstanding amongst themselves which reduces a child’s tendency of being aggressive in the future. For instance, in 2015, UNICEF outcome in their research states that 70 percent of stubborn children are raised in an extended home. Additionally, the amount of money that is required to cater for a child’s education and the domestic needs will be minimal, thereby, saving up so much for the family. This will enable them to boost their wealth status in the society. Which is as a result of them having few financial responsibilities to deal with in the family. On the other hand , a major issue with small family is that parent give so much love and care to their children because there are few of them. This will however lead to a child finding it so difficult to be independent when they become adult. This has often times led to a negative outcome in their adulthood. Another disadvantage is that small family reduces the success tendency in a home, because parent most times limit the children from doing what they love but instead what their parent expects of them. In conclusion, while smaller family is advantageous to the society, people should be aware of the setback such as lack of independency children face when they become adult and their inability to decide for themselves in their personal life goal.
