Therefore destruction and problematic scenarios continue. When talking about Syrian refugees there are always countries that are for and against their better interests. Countries like the US and organizations like the EU fully support ending the suffering in Syria. Other countries like Russia seem to not support the rebels or the end of their suffering, rather, they support the Syrian government. That is why there is not yet a consensus. Two draft texts — one from France and Spain, and the other from the Russian Federation — address the conflict in Syria. They failed to be adopted by the Security Council due to a heated debate on the content. Meanwhile, urgent calls for humanitarian intervention for the besieged city of Aleppo continue to be made. The French and Spanish text that would have had the Council demand an immediate halt to all aerial bombardments and military flights over the city of Aleppo received 11 affirmative votes, two abstentions (Angola and China), and two negative votes (Russian Federation and Venezuela). The Russian Federation’s text, by which the Council would have urged an immediate cessation of hostilities, particularly in Aleppo, received a vote of 4 in favor (China, Egypt, Russian Federation, Venezuela) to 9 against (France, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Senegal, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States), with 2 abstentions (Angola and Uruguay). Assignment 1 It is thought by some that the most favourable way to increase the safety of road users is by reducing the maximum speed limits on vehicles, others however, believe that there are other ways to increase the safety of road users. In my opinion,I consider that social awareness on driving a good vehicle is the best way to increase the safety of the road users. On the one hand, some people have suggested that reducing the maximum speed limits on vehicles will increase the safety of road users. This will be done by insisting that all drivers or car owners install the speed limit device or application in their cars to control the speed of the drivers. For example, if a driver is speeding above the required speed limit, the engine of the car will go off on speed thereby making the driver to start the car all over again. On the other hand, others are of the opinion that social awareness and enlightenment of the public will increase the safety of the road users and I agree. Firstly, if the government teaches the citizens on the importance of car servicing and usage of good tyres, there will be a reduction in the accidents that occur daily on the road. This is because knowledge they say is power. More so, when people are aware of the implications of driving a faulty car, accidents on the road will be reduced to the barest minimum. In my opinion, it would be wrong to encourage people to spend unnecessary money. There are several reasons why advertisements can be useful in society. Firstly, this can inform people about real bargains so brochures and catalogs enable people to compare products and services at leisure. Secondly, if people do not have time to shop around, they would rely on advertising, so they can learn about new products. Finally, the advertisement could inform people about the environmental impact of products. As a result, customers can consider the ecological effect of goods. Furthermore, people can easily find out, if a company supports fair trade. One the other hand, the advertisement could extremely create artificial needs, while people maybe would not need to buy the product. By making these needs, people might spend many on that product, which could threaten the budget of the family. People might buy a thing because of the glamourous images associated with that product. For example, children are easily influenced by commercials, so they pester their parents to buy certain goods. Furthermore, I believe that the art of advertising might be subtly to persuade people to spend money on specific goods. In conclusion, my view is that advertisements could create needs which are unreal, therefore, increase company sales.

Children today have to face the pressure from different aspects of modern life, such as education, society and business. I would analyze the reasons and provide solutions. The most evident reason would be vicious competition in today’s world. Children who want to study at a famous university have to achieve better scores than their peers. In addition, they have to handle relationships with people around them. They have been told that social skill can benefit them to get opportunities in society in the future. As a consequence, some students try to make friends with children who have good scores or excellent family backgrounds. On the other hand, children also get pressure from their families and peers. At home, a child may be told that one of his cousins is excellent, so he should learn from him. At school, a child might suffer bully because he doesn’t have famous band clothes or he comes from a poor family. The solution for the first condition is to encourage them to learn for interests rather than scores. Since interests are the best teacher which is a guide to tell children how to learn well so that children don’t have to treat the? study as a task but some interesting things. For the second condition, parents should learn better methods to educate their children. They can relive the children’s stress by companionship or tell them what is the best friendship. At school, teachers have the responsibility to tell students that they should not judge a book from its cover and do not laugh at the students who need help. In conclusion, education is an important responsibility for the whole society. So more reasons for the children’s pressure need to be found and tackled so that they can grow up healthily. Today, an increasing number of parents have chosen to remove their children from conventional schools and teach them at homes by tutors or by parents themselves. From my perspective, the disadvantages are more significant than the benefits. Admittedly, there are some advantages for those children who study at home. For example, a flexible schedule meets the family needs and customized learning plans may inspire some children’s interests, so many of them can learn much faster and deeper in some subjects than their peers. For those children suffered from bullying at school, homeschooling can not only make them feel safe under the protection of their parents but also strengthen their family bonds. All of these appear perfect as those parents claimed in the short term. However, judging from a general development in the long run, there are many disadvantages for home-schooled students. They can barely obtain widely knowledge as their peers. In China, students normally learn eleven to twelve subjects with professional teachers who graduated with(from?) specific majors. Conversely, parents can hardly offer professional education in various subjects as school teachers do. Even they can hire professional tutors teaching at home, that still cannot compare with school education, let alone it is a big financial burden from a family. Additionally, students not only get knowledge at school but also practise social skills with their peers, such as communication skills and conflict solving methods. The main reason that I believe music is not a particularly good unifier in terms of generational disparity is that people tend to enjoy the music from their formative years and disdain whatever is currently relevant. Though there are of course exceptions, most people would recognise the mostly accurate stereotype of an old person complaining about the music that youths listen to nowadays. For example, in America some of the most popular artists today include Kanye West, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna. These artists differ greatly from past musicians. Kanye is a brash rapper with controversial opinions whose music constantly shifts and redefines genre. Taylor Swift and Rihanna write sugary pop songs that become ubiquitous in cafes and on the radio. Older people prefer what they used to listen to, whether that be intricate melodies and insightful writing of The Beatles or the raw sincerity of old school rap. The differences between the generations are reflected and augmented rather than mediated due to the different personalities and styles of modern music. Although music does little to alleviate generational barriers, it does help cultures relate through universal, human perspectives. What I mean by this is that even though people may not understand another culture they can still understand the messages of the music. One great example of this is the music of Bob Marley. This paper examines that there is a significant relationship between the motivation of buying fast fashion and the frequency of purchasing fast fashion in Thai teenagers. The result show a relationship at p < 0.05 level (x = 16.995a, df = 9, p = 0.049). The results show a significant number at the level of significant. A mix-methodology approach is used to gather quantitative and qualitative data to observe Thai consumer’s behavior towards fast fashion. The populations for this study comprise residents of Bangkok in 2016 of ages 18-35 years, with 100 subjects partaking in a questionnaire, and 10 subjects partaking in in-depth interviews. Results show that the motivation of buying fast fashion is significantly pushing Thai Teenagers to buy fast fashion more than once in the month. Based on data obtained from Market Line, a business information company, the global apparel industry has been growing at a 4.78% yearly rate since 2011. Now valued at nearly $1.4 trillion dollars in sales for 2017, the industry shows no signs of slowing as the market is projected to experience 5.91% yearly growth over the next three years. By 2020, the market size of the apparel industry is expected to reach a mind-boggling $1.65 trillion sales in US dollars worldwide. According to Barnes, L., and Lea-Greenwood, G. (2006, p259) fast fashion is a business strategy which aims to processes involved in the buying cycle and lead times for getting new fashion product into stores, in order to satisfy consumer demand at its peak. Teenagers just love fashion trendy and up to date. The tendency of teenagers who like this kind of fashion gives the opportunity for retail businesses in creating a new type of fashion called fast fashion. There are several things that differentiate fast fashion with fashion in general. The differentiating factor that can be seen from the speed of a fashion company view the trend, produce, distribute and change the fashion in store rapidly. Much fast fashion retail store is regularly issued new models in the store. Then the companies distribute clothes to the supply chain strategy that quickly and accurately to reach the store. Furthermore, within a week if the clothes are not sold, the retail store will withdraw and replace them with new ones. The purpose of the fast fashion’s retail store strategy is to establish customer mindset for always coming to the store and shop. The attitude of loyal customers will always push the fast fashion business to evolve over time. Consumer purchase behavior can be defined as behavior that is demonstrated by consumers when looking for, assessing, purchasing, using and abandoning products and services for which it is expected that they will satisfy the consumer‘s wishes and needs in the process of change (Solomon et al., 2010). The author perceives the increasing of the teenagers’ demand in fast fashion as one of an interesting topic to be observed. The purpose of this research is to find the relationship between the motivation of buying fast fashion and the frequency of purchasing fast fashion in Thai teenagers. The author considers it is important to do research in order to understand Thai teenager’s purchasing behavior in the dynamic world of clothing trends.
