I was looking for a job related to children as I am really fond of them. I believe that I am suitable for
this
role as I am a graduate student who has studied
Child
psychology which focuses on
child
development and behaviour. It would be a great opportunity to spend time with a
child
and see how they function in their surroundings which would give me

. After my working hours are over, I would spend my time doing household chores, exploring different places in Australia and researching courses for
further
studies that I can pursue there. I hope after looking at all aspects you would consider me for the job. Waiting for your response. Yours sincerely, Sanchi Dhupar

The Greeting

Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.

Always start an informal letter in the ways:

  • Dear + name
  • Hi / Hello + name

‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.

For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:

  • Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
  • Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
