The table above represents the statistical differences in international travel between 1990 and 2005 across five geographical regions- Europe, the Middle East,
America
, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. The overarching trend is that the overseas travelling population has gradually increased from 1990 to 2005.
This
is evinced in the first row of the table where the data of 448.9 million recorded in 1990 jumps to 693.7 million by 2005. Zooming into each geographical location separately, it is salient that Europe has the highest number of travellers for every year that has been recorded. Interestingly, it
also
experiences the largest change in the voyaging community from 1990 to 2005 .
Conversely
, the Middle East region recorded the lowest figure of overseas travellers each year, with its international travelling population undergoing the lowest increment too. For the remaining regions, we notice that all
