IN your letter - Correct the information in the article - Explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information - Suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

Dear Sir or Madam, I am a resident of Amritsar, Punjab. I am writing
this
letter in regards to a recent issue of your magazine where some misinformation was printed. In the magazine, the article states that Amritsar has little to no public transportation services.
This
is completely incorrect. My city has 24/7 public bus services, as well as a well, developed local train network. Amritsar is a tourist and there are many people like me who make their living because of tourism. As
such
, the wrong details in an international travel journal can easily hurt the local economy.
Therefore
, I am including a detailed time schedule for public transportation as well as their website portal. I hope that your company can verify the details and print a correction along with correcting information on your website. Awaiting a quick response. Yours truly, Jagbir

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
