You recently did a short cookery courses. The cookery school has asked for your feedback on this course. Write a letter to the course director at the cookery school. In your letter describe what you enjoyed about the course. Say how much cooking you've done since the course. Suggest another cookery course you'd like the school to offer.
Dear Sir Alex,
Hello, and I wish everything could be all right.
I am writing
this
letter because I was a member of your cookery class in which we cooked sweets and cakes.
Please accept my deep thanks for your training. I learnt some important details about your recipes which were useful for me.
Of the course, I did more exercises then
I baked a wonderful cake for my son's birthday. Everyone was surprised and happy. That cake was delicious. Also
, for my son's classmates, I bake some cupcakes that were similar to the main cake which was designed with blue creams.
Besides
, your class was enjoyable and I did not tire of it because I made some friends who were kind and had a fun time together. Although
, we helped ourselves with coffee and sweets on that course.
May I suggest that if it is available to have a new course which you teach us healthy food? Moreover
, we are youth but some of us are living with our parents, so we need to protect them from some illnesses such
as blood pressure.
I trust that suggestion has been useful.
Yours faithfully,

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
