Topic:- People no longer use newspapers and television because The Internet plays the same role as them. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, the digitalization along with technology has created replacements for almost everything. One of the live examples of
such
transformation can be seen in the declining usage of newspaper and television
. I agree that the invention of the World Wide Web has persuaded the public to prefer the internet
over newspapers
and TV for the latest updates and entertainment
. In this
essay, we will discuss a few reasons for this
development.
To start with, the internet
can provide the privilege to access the latest information about any part of the world within few seconds of a click and one would not have to search different pages of newspapers
for a specific kind of update. Moreover
, unlike newspapers
, the internet
can be used on compact devices such
as mobile phone or laptop and, thus
negates the stress of carrying it separately. For example
, my grandmother still uses newspapers
to read current-affairs and she would spend almost 3 to 4 hours every day in doing so. On the other hand
, I hardly take 30mins to read a similar kind of updates on my mobile phone.
Further
, the World Wide Web has also
created entertainment
platforms that show programs such
as movies, web-series, music-videos same as TV. However
, unlike television
, with the help of the internet
, these entertainment
shows can be watched on any platform like TV, mobile phone, computer or laptop at any time. Thus
, it has gained significant popularity among all the ages. For example
, software applications like Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hotstar are some of the online entertainment
interfaces which have more viewers and subscribers as compared to any famous television
show.
To summarize, I concur with the statement that due to the efficiency and comfort received from the services of the internet
, the public has stopped the usage of television
and newspapers
