With the help of internet and television many people are becoming famous. Is this a positive or a negative trend? Include examples.

These days, everyone wants to be famous. People are finding new ways to achieve
this
goal. From
this
,
internet
and television have emerged as necessary tools. Just like any other thing, they have both positive and negative sides. But, overall, I believe that it is a positive trend. In the old times, newspapers, books and word of mouth were some of the only ways to gather fame. But now it is very easy. Uploading a video on the
internet
and get you instant recognition.
This
has brought down the standards as, no matter what you do, there will always be someone who likes it.
Additionally
, it has taken originality, to the point of stupidity.
For instance
, we see videos of people doing dangerous things in their kitchen or their backyards. There are numerous challenges and trends on the
internet
that can be life threatening.
Furthermore
, by being
internet
famous, people don't have to be accountable to some extent. They can hide behind their screens and say whatever they want without giving any thought to how it might affect others.
On the other hand
, there are a lot of benefits as well. Television and
internet
Suggestion
the internet
have widened the audience for people that have real talent. They are no longer limited to their own locality, nor are they hindered by lack of funds or resources. Even the language barrier has been crossed with the use of subtitles.
Furthermore
, the
internet
has made documentation a lot easier. While before piles of books and newspapers had to be carefully preserved, now everything is in the cloud, with little to no risk of the information getting degraded over time. Because of all these reasons, I am of the opinion that
this
is a positive trend, given that the people are mindful of its demerits.
